August work

father and son I found an exhibition on the net in New York and they wanted 6 pieces. I decided that this would be one of them . I called it father and son. I did a box type bird for the Meeniyan show and I thought a box type father would be fun. As it was I did more than the required 6 and this was one that was not sent. It is now on show at Kongwak Gallery
Where I grew up  .This is the piece I made earlier called where I grew up and here it is on show at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre. ( just inside the door) in the show called "Home" It didn't sell and I think I am happy about that for I want to do a show of works based around my childhood.
Heart Seat  I keep playing with hearts in the chairs and this was a rather big hear filled with junk It looks quite impressive.
This is on show at Town and Country Gallery Yarragon
birdcage for playThe school production was on and I offered to help with the props. One thing they needed was a large birdcage to hold a child.
nevilles shelf My friend Neville dropped by after clearing up a friends property and had a lovely pile of junk metal. He had one piece which was labelled Massey and Ferguson on what was an old horse harness? Anyway we kept that as the label at the top and I used the other bits he brought me to make a set of shelves for him   flight of fancyAnother flight of Fancy for a gallery
This is on show at Town and Country Gallery Yarragon.
clown stilts  I started playing with clowns as it gave me a chance to use the red for noses and also the stainless steel wool for hair. I liked the idea of stilts( still following the "up" theme I guess)
This is on show at Serigraph Gallery Neerim Sth
clown balance  The second clown is also up and I enjoyed shaping his feet as well. Will anyone buy them ? It will be interesting to see.
jens seat   Jenny Murray-Jones is leaving DSC and going to teach Graphic design at Deakin Uni. Jenny has been a good friend and a lot of help to me in the past especially in graphic matters. I decided to make her a seat as a reminder and I included an image of her little dog and other things appropriate to Jen. She is a lovely gentle and kind lady  owl  I am still playing at making owls and other pieces and I have made at least 4 owls, 10 dogs and 6 birds as part of my work load so far this month. Some have gone to the Frances Keevil Gallery in Sydney
