Heart seat 3
My seats are a constant seller and I find the extra symbolism of the heart
adds to the overall impression. This one sold at Gembrook Market during this
month

Junk Table 475
It probably isn't 475 but it sort of feels like it. I enjoy creating my
collections of junk and I enjoy using the hall table format as I can make
the lovely mirrors.
|
Camel
I was asked to make a camel similar to what I had already made. I did
this one but presumably it wasn't camelish enough as he still is following
me around!
|
A fine Crop 2
I had a good collection of cutlery left over from the silver ware table
for the fringe furniture show. I made one version of this to go off to a
show in New York but it seemed to just vanish into the ether. It didn't show
up o the listing of works in the show and trying to contact the gallery was
met with complete silence! Lesson learned.
Anyway I liked the idea and made a second version. which went into
Leongatha Rotary show( and also into my upcoming untold stories show)

Two
heart seat
This is another on the same general theme. This sold at Leongatha Rotary
show.

Door
in the sky
This is a piece inspired by science fiction stories and some work seen at
art Melbourne. It is for my up coming exhibition untold stories.
|
The Girl who would not cut her hair
This was for the untold stories show too |
Relationship
This
piece uses a giant face as landscape and has the two characters obviously
discussing something. Greg Follett used faces in the landscape as part of
some early work I had seen and Helen Timbury was working on a linocut of the
elephant in the room. Both of these influenced me and I really like the
background being made up of a person. ( sort of doesnt make sense but I know
what I mean!) Anyway this also is going to the untold stories exhibition
after having an outing at Art Sydney

Leaving/Arriving
A piece that has been recycled in its parts The carriage was in a new
direction( since cut up ) and the girl was part of the journeys piece for
Inspired) I have joined them to create an image of a girl leaving
taking everything that is important to her and once you leave( which is sort
of both negative and positive in feeling) you have to arrive somewhere which
hopefully is all positive.
Again it had an outing at art sydney and is now part of the untold stories
exhibition |
Stop Being Funny
I am sure I said this any number of times as a teacher and this piece is
also a combination of the policeman from the journeys ( Inspired exhibition)
and the clown which I made recently. The clown didnt have any relationship
with anything and I think this combination is a stronger piece. Again
another piece for the untold stories show |
