Great airbrush work by Sue Osborn

Sue is an artist  who lives in Drouin. Anything she does is great and she has done airbrush work, watercolour, welding, windsurfing and almost anything else you can think of. At present her main interest is airbrushing and she teaches it at school. She is about to have her first exhibition of airbrush work although she has been in exhibitions with watercolours.

Most of Sue's work is done from her own photo's and she has a great eye for composition and colour.

She learned her airbrush skills from Air Venturi run by Tony Vowles

Sue is just about to have an exhibition with me at Charles Smith Gallery in Fitzroy. The  opening is on the 24th of March 2007 and is on for about 3weeks.

Do go and see it if you have a chance.

This picture of the world map cow was copied by Sue for a visit by the Primary Industries minister to the school. I don't know who did the original one but Sue did a great job making a 2meter by 2.5 meter copy with the airbrush.

Sue was born in Melbourne in 1952 and presently lives in the West Gippsland town of Drouin where she teaches Art and Technology at the local Secondary College. She has spent much of the 1990's working in watercolour and she has participated in a number of successful exhibitions in the local area. Over the past 5 years she has been working on a larger scale, airbrushing many of her images onto a range of different surfaces such as wood, paper, canvas, cotton, metal and plastic.

All here recent work is based on personal images based on photos from her friends gardens and the local landscape.
