Imported as a yearling and purchased by the Stud in 1976 Foxy
was the founder of the most successful and influential
family in the Stud. A most successful show pony Foxy's major wins included
Junior Champion WMP Mare (Lady Coles Trophy), Champion WMP Mare and Grand
Champion WMP at the 1977 Royal Melbourne Show at the age of two. Youngstock
Champion WMP Filly, Best Youngstock WMP Exhibit and Resv. Champion WMP Mare
at the 1977 Victorian All-Welsh Show.
Dying at only 12 years after breaking a leg, Foxy was the dam of (amongst
others) the stallions Llanfairbryn Foxhunter, Silver Fox, Brer Fox and the
mares Llanfairbryn Foxtrot and Llanfairbryn Foxglove. Descendants of Crossways
Foxy are eligible for registration with the Arabian Horse Society due to the
presence in her pedigree of Clan Pip.

Welsh Exhibit, won her section of the WP&CSofA Foal Futurity in 1992,

has won numerous Agricultural Show Championships. Ffansi Pants is the dam
of (amongst others) the stallions Llanfairbryn Gareth, Greystoke, Best Man
(exported to New Zealand), Cardiff (retained), and the fillies Llanfairbryn

A highly successful show mare Christine was the 2001 WP&CSofA Senior
Welsh Mountain Pony Mare/Stallion Barastoc Pony of the Year. She is a
multi Agricultural Show Supreme Champion, won her class at the WP&CSofA
Youngstock Show 1998, won her class and was Res. Junior Champion WMP Filly
at the Royal Melbourne Horse Show 2000, won her class and was Res. Champion
WMP Mare at the Royal Melbourne Horse Show 2001 and won her class and was
Res. Champion WMP Mare at the Victorian All-Welsh Show 2001. At the 2003 Victorian
Welsh Feature Show Christine was Champion Mare, Supreme Champion WMP and Best
In-Hand Exhibit. At the 2004 Royal Melbourne Horse Show she was Champion Mare
and at the 2004 Victorian All-Welsh she won the Dry Mare class - 3 wins at
the 3 major Victorian shows for Welsh in the 2003/4 season. At Barastock HOTY
Show 2009 Christine was Champion Led Senior Section A and Champion M&M
Broodmare, winning the coveted Ballinton Dene Award.
Christine is the dam of Llanfairbryn Christiana, Bronze Buttons and Glynis
and the colts Cadno Coch, Harlequin, Calon Lan and Cardigan Bay.

Miss Daisy is a young mare who started her show career winning the Sec. A
Filly class at theWP&CSofA G&P RPG Foal Show in 1998, then placed
high at the Victorian Welsh Feature Show in 1998, 1999 and 2000 and at the
Royal Melbourne Horse Show in 2000 and 2001 and is an Agricultural Show Multi
Champion both in the Welsh and Open Rings. Miss Daisy won numerous Agricultural
Show Championships in the 2002/2003 season culminating in Welsh Mountain
Pony Mare/Stallion of the Year and then Senior Led Welsh Pony/Cob of the Year
at Barastoc 2003.
At the 2006 Royal Melbourne Horse Show, Miss Daisy won the broodmare class
and went Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Mare and her filly, Llanfairbryn Finella
by Nattai Bedwyn, won the foal class.
Miss Daisy is the dam of the fillies Llanfairbryn Fine China, Eirian (WA All
Welsh Show winner) and Finella, and the colts Myrddin and Rhodri Mawr.
NATTAI POLLYANNA

A foundation mare of the Stud, Pollyanna was purchased from Lady Creswick
as a foal. Pollyanna had a distinguished show career and amassed 20 firsts,
an Agricultural Show Supreme Open Championship, numerous Championships including
the APSB Victorian Stud Pony Show and the RPSBS Pony Pageant, placed high
at the Royal Melbourne Show and the Victorian All-Welsh Show every time shown
and won the first ever Leading Rein class held in Australia at the Victorian
All-Welsh Show 1979, a feat repeated by her daughter Llanfairbryn Cariad who
was Champion Leading Rein/First Ridden Pony at the Victorian All-Welsh Show
in 1992.
Pollyanna is the dam of (amongst others) of the mares Llanfairbryn Serch,
Swyn, Pali, Sidan, Alys, Cariad, Angharad, Primadonna (Sec. B), Most Successful
Exhibit at the NSW All-Welsh Show 1999, 2000 and 2001, Mererid, Supreme Champion
Welsh Exhibit Queensland Stud Pony Show 2000, and multi Champion Genevieve.
After a total of 16 foals Pollyanna rightly put herself into retirement. Pollyanna
was put down in 2004.

A foundation mare of the Stud, Gossip was purchased
from Yoorami Stud together with her daughter Yoorami Ballerina. Shown only
lightly Gossip won her class at the APSB Victorian Stud Pony Show in 1984
and was also a winner under saddle.
For our Llanfairbryn Stud Gossip produced (amongst others) the three full
sisters Doli, Ceridwen and Sali by Coed Coch Bedwyn (Imp). Gossip is represented
in the stud today by her great grand-daughter Llanfairbryn Gwendolen.

from her breeder Greg Higgins as a filly. An Agricultural Show Supreme Champion
Tarina had a successful show career, winning her class at both the Victorian
All-Welsh Show and the APSB Victorian Stud Pony Show in 1984, placing high
at the same shows in 1985 and was Res. Champion FS Mare at the Victorian Welsh
Feature Show the same year.
A most successful broodmare, Tarina is the dam of (amongst others) the highly
successful saddle geldings Llanfairbryn Stormboy, Llyn, Dellf and Cumquat
and the mares Llanfairbryn Dallu, Tirion, Saffrwn, Czarina, Sabrina and My
Diva. Exquisite remains at the stud.

Jennifer Gibney, Oona joined us in 1989.
Oona was already an Agricultural Show Supreme Champion when she joined us,
and continued on her winning way by taking out both the Novice and Open Broodmare
classes at the 1991 Victorian All-Welsh Show under Doreen Jones of Synod Stud,
UK. She was a finalist at the WP&CSofA Pony of the Year Show 1991 and
won her classes at both the Victorian Welsh Feature Show and Dandenong Agricultural
Show in the same year. Offspring carrying our Llanfairbryn prefix include
(amongst others) the mares Llanfairbryn Little Heron and Geraldine. Her grand-daughter
Llanfairbryn Christabel and great-grand-daughter Llanfairbryn Christening
Day remain in the Stud.

Year 2002. Christabel was Champion Section A Filly at the WP&CSofA
Youngstock Show 2002 and won her class at the WP&CSofA Victorian Welsh
Feature Show. In 2003 she won her class at the Royal Melbourne Horse Show.
Amongst other Championships, in 2008 Christabel was Best Welsh In Hand Exhibit
at the Catani Agricultural Show Welsh Feature Ring. Christabel is

At the 2006 Royal Melbourne Horse Show, Corn Doli won the 2yo filly class
and went Reserve Champion Filly.At the Dandenong Agricultural Show 2006 Com

WMP Filly, Supreme Champion Welsh Youngstock, Best Welsh In-Hand Exhibit,

At Barastoc HOTY Show in 2008 Corn Doli was Reserve Champion Senior Sec A Exhibit.

At the WP&CSofA Youngstock Show India was Champion Part
Welsh Filly in both rings and in Ring 1 was Supreme Champion Part Welsh Exhibit.
She also won the Part Welsh Challenge. At the 2003 Victorian All-Welsh Show
India won her 2 yo Part Welsh Filly class and also won her Foal Futurity class
and the Boolara and Rhondda Studs trophy in memory of Judith McLaughlin for
Best Part Welsh Foal Futurity Exhibit. India was Runner-Up Part Welsh
Junior Pony of the Year at Barastoc 2003.
In 2004 India was Champion Part Welsh Filly at the Victorian All-Welsh Show
under UK judge Gill Simpson of Wortley Stud. India also won an Agricultural
Show Open Junior Championship and won her Novice and Open saddle classes at
her first show under saddle. In 2005 India was Reserve Champion Led Part Welsh
Mare at the Victorian All Welsh Show under Dewi Evans of Hilin Stud UK.
At the Royal Melbourne Horse Show 2007, India won her class and was Reserve
Champion Led Part Welsh 4 years and over in strong competition. At the 2007
Victorian
All-Welsh India won her led mare class.
India is the dam of the colt Llanfairbryn Indiana

This glorious small black Thoroughbred mare, who died in 2006, was a grand-daughter
of Northern Dancer (CAN), and was a highly successful broodmare for the Stud.
She is the dam of the undefeated saddle Stallion Llanfairbryn Fred Astaire
owned by Helen Moore and Margaret Gillies in Western Australia. Fred Astaire
is also a led Royal Show Champion, All-Welsh Show Champion and Riding Pony
Show Champion. One of his greatest achievements was to win the Liberty Competition
at the WA Night of Stars 1998. In the same ownership Our Piccaninny's gelding
son Llanfairbryn Final Command won nine Championships in eleven shows and
was a Finalist in Best Educated at the 1999 WA Horse of the Year Show. Our
Piccaninny is also the dam of the Stallion Llanfairbryn Command Performance,
the geldings Llanfairbryn Commandant, Versace and Spindrift, and the females
Llanfairbryn Meadowsweet, Mary Mac, Sassy, India and Africa. India and Africa
have been retained in the Stud. In 2004 Our Piccaninny foaled the colt Llanfairbryn
Star Performance, full brother to India and Africa.
