Misleading maps
Misleading maps put out by the Govt. which further distort the true tenure, as well as the true nature of the reforestation and regrowth.
The map below, produced by the RFA has lumped the HW reforestation and regrowth into the same vegetation class as Softwood plantation. Both are shown as grey. Had DNRE's EVC maps been reproduced truthfully, the bright green area would appear more cohesive.
The map below, also produced by the RFA, depicts the entire leased Strzelecki State Forest as Plantation
